Being an effective leader in Sigma, especially at the regional and international levels, requires a significant amount of experience working with Sigma programs and committees. Since his initiation, Bro. Ward has been an extremely active, engaged, and hard-working Sigma, serving in leadership roles at the collegiate, alumni, regional, and international levels.
As important as Sigma experience is, Patricke is a well-rounded individual who can perform in any situation and has developed as a professional and community leader. Sigma Experience
Bro. Ward was initiated into the Lambda Gamma chapter at Central Michigan University on October 25, 1997, where he was also the school’s first African-American Homecoming King from the city of Detroit. During his collegiate years he worked in the admissions office, was a resident assistant, multicultural advisor, and campus ambassador. In his collegiate chapter he served as Step Master, Vice President, President, and Assistant Michigan State Director. Upon graduation he joined the Xi Beta Sigma alumni chapter in Detroit, MI where he served as Lambda Gamma Chapter advisor and Sigma Beta Club Advisor. Upon relocating to Charlotte, NC, Bro. Ward joined the Beta Rho Sigma Chapter in 2005, where he advised three different collegiate chapters, served as Vice President, and was the Chapter’s Centennial President, where the chapter earned a Founders Level Chapter designation with over 130 financial members. Bro. Ward has also served as North Carolina and the Southeastern Region’s Director of Collegiate Affairs, among serving on other various committees. Finally, he has been recipient of several awards, including Central Michigan Greek of the Year, Sigmas of Charlotte Brother of the Year, and Conclave Presidential Brotherhood First Award.
